Chewy Carrot Cake Granola Bars

Chewy Carrot Cake Granola Bars

In grammar school, my mom would pack me a granola bar that was so dry I’d nearly break my teeth. Perhaps I made the Chewy Carrot Cake Granola Bars extra chewy with those jaw-breakers in mind. If you don’t want them as chewy, you can add a little less maple syrup and coconut and bake for several minutes more.

Dark Chocolate Clusters {No-Bake}

Dark Chocolate Clusters

Dark chocolate clusters are what I make when I’m looking for a sweet treat but something that’s not too naughty. They are delicious and so easy to make using simple ingredients.

With these little clusters of bliss, you really only need two ingredients – nuts and chocolate. Whatever nuts you have on hand will do fine, although some work better than others. I use mainly walnuts with almonds and then top the dark chocolate with pumpkin seeds. One variation is to add dried cherries. Mmm.

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

Pumpkin pie smoothie is my favorite smoothie to make during fall. And pumpkin has been on my mind lately. A  l o t.

I love this smoothie so much that I always make it a point to stock up on cans of unsweetened pumpkin during the fall season so I can enjoy pumpkin pie smoothies year round, because once fall passes they no longer stock the shelves with this heavenly orange goodness.

With the Thanksgiving holiday coming up, I thought I’d share something I came across recently.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites

These Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites are delicious and addicting. Beware!

Who doesn’t love raw cookie dough? Something about the chewy, moist texture and pronounced flavors that make the dough too tempting … mmm.

I’m bringing the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites to an upcoming Holiday Cookie Exchange and I couldn’t be more excited. But I wanted to share them with you too because they’re not only delicious, they’re easy to make {no-bake} and use natural ingredients. What’s not to love?

Hope you enjoy them!

Green Bubble Tea

Green Bubble Tea

Green bubble tea first caught my eye at a small cafe in Hoboken, New Jersey about five years ago. I loved not only the way it tasted but the way it looked. The beautiful pale green color paired with luscious round tapioca balls. After a friend inspired me to make my own green bubble tea, I decided to experiment. I’ve spent the last several days getting to know tapioca pearls and I’m revisiting my love for bubble tea.

Chewy Apple Brownies

Chewy Apple Brownies

I love making brownies. They’re easy to make, easy to grab, and easy to love. You know what I love even more? Making a healthier, lighter version of them. Although it took multiple attempts, I’m finally pleased with the brownie recipe below that incorporates my favorite fall fruit, apples!

Chocolate Fig Smoothie

Chocolate Fig Smoothie

The Chocolate Fig Smoothie was sort of an accident.

I was in the mood for something sweet. I couldn’t figure out if it was one of my usual chocolate cravings, or something else.

After eyeing up the farmers’ market fresh figs on my kitchen counter, I wondered. I had never paired chocolate with fig, at least not in a smoothie. I figured it couldn’t be bad considering figs are sweet, nutritious, and not very overpowering. They also have a lovely little texture that could add to the smoothness of the drink.
