I’ve had pumpkin on my mind lately. This time of year means two things: stocking up on cans of unsweetened pumpkin and pumpkin smoothies. Mmm.
With the Thanksgiving holiday coming up, I thought I’d share something I came across recently. We know giving thanks makes us feel all warm and fuzzy but did you know that cultivating an attitude of gratitude has been linked to better health, sounder sleep, less anxiety & depression, higher long-term satisfaction with life & kinder behavior toward others? Pumpkin Pie Smoothie

Servings: 2 people
1 cup almond milk (or milk of your choice)
1 cup pumpkin puree
1 banana, preferably frozen
2 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Sprinkle of cinnamon on top
Place all ingredients into a blender and puree until smooth. Pour into 2 glasses and serve chilled.Enjoy!
